I-4 Construction at Exit 19 Means Lane Closures and Ramp Delays

The Florida Department of Transportation reports that interchange improvements on Interstate 4 at Thonotosassa Road (SR 566) will; result in the following lane closures and ramp traffic delays:

Plant City, FL – There may be reduced lane widths or lane closures with flagging operations on Thonotosassa Road at I-4 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday (March 27 – April 1) nights. Drivers may also have periodic delays of up to 15 minutes on the eastbound and westbound I-4 Exit 19 ramps onto Thonotosassa Road.

Plant City, FL – The left turn lanes on Thonotosassa Road leading into the business areas immediately south of I-4 closed for construction work on March 22 and will remain closed about two weeks. Drivers need to U-turn (at intersections where U-turns are allowed) past the closed median turn lanes and access these business areas by right turns only.
