Lane Closures on I-4 Between Sand Lake Road and Beachline Expressway

The Florida Department of Transportation reports the following lane closures on I-4  as part of the rehabilitation of I-4 (SR 400) from SR 528 to West of Universal Boulevard.

Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 to Wednesday, October 26th, 2016

  • Eastbound I-4 Ramp Exit 74A to Sand Lake Road (SR 482) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    Traffic on eastbound I-4 to W Sand Lake Road will follow detour to the next exit onto Universal Boulevard and back down to W Sand Lake Road.

Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 to Thursday, October 27th, 2016

  • I-4 Single lane closure – 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.
  • I-4 Double lane closure – 12 a.m. – 6 a.m.
    Westbound single and double lane closures on I-4, from State Road 528 to west of Universal Boulevard. Traffic will be directed to adjacent lanes around the work zone.

Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 to Friday, October 28th, 2016

  • Single lane closures of Ramp 88 on Sand Lake Road (SR 482) onto eastbound I-4 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    Traffic will be directed to the adjacent lanes around the work zone.

This project includes improvements that consist of milling and resurfacing I-4 (SR 400), from State Road 528 to West of Universal Boulevard. Additional roadway improvements include High Friction Surface Treatment (HSFT) and approach slab replacement on the westbound I-4 to eastbound State Road 528 ramp, loop replacement for one existing telemetered traffic monitoring site (TTMS), signing and pavement marking upgrades, ADA improvements, pedestrian signal replacements, and guardrail end treatments.
