The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that, early this morning, Monday, January 19, crews reopened the westbound I-4 ramp to Exit 45A (Downtown East-West) to motorists approaching the Downtown Tampa Interchange.
Westbound I-4 motorists should stay in the middle lane to access the ramp to Exit 45A (Downtown East-West). Once drivers enter the ramp, they will continue to merge with incoming traffic traveling from the southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45A). Drivers needing to access Jefferson Street should stay left on the ramp and proceed toward Downtown East. Traffic needing to exit the ramp onto Ashley Drive should keep right at the fork and proceed onto the Downtown West ramp.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and drive safely while traveling through the work zone.
The reopening of this ramp allows crews to continue performing construction activities for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
