The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that a temporary closure of the westbound I-4 entrance ramp to northbound I-275 will occur nightly from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, through Thursday, September 4, weather permitting.
Motorists will have to detour around the work zone by continuing west on I-4, exiting the interstate using Exit 45A (Downtown East/West), keeping right at the fork toward Downtown East, continuing south on Orange Avenue, turning left onto Cass Street, turning left onto Orange Connector, and proceeding north to re-enter the interstate using the northbound I-275 entrance ramp.
Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.
These overnight ramp closures are necessary for maintenance activities as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements.
