The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that temporary nighttime closures of the eastbound I-4 ramps to northbound and southbound I-75 (Exit 9) will occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday, March 29, through Thursday, April 2, weather permitting.
Motorists will have to detour around the work zone by continuing east on I-4, exiting the interstate using Exit 10, turning left onto Mango Road, and re-entering the interstate using the westbound I-4 entrance ramp, and proceeding toward Exit 9 to access either northbound or southbound I-75.
Electronic message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.
These temporary nighttime ramp closures are part of the I-4 safety and operational improvements from east of the Tampa Bypass Canal to west of the I-75 ramps in Hillsborough County.
