The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduling traffic pacing operations between midnight and 5:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, and Friday, January 15, on westbound Interstate 4 (I-4).

During the activities, westbound I-4 entrance ramps will be temporarily blocked by law enforcement officers to ensure no vehicles jump ahead of the traffic pacing operations and traffic will slow to 10 mph. As the pace car passes an interchange, the westbound entrance ramp will be reopened to allow motorists to enter I-4 and join the slow roll.

The traffic pacing operations and temporary ramp closures are necessary to install overhead signs.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
