The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight closures of the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road (State Road 535) from Sunday, June 21, through Thursday, June 25. The closures will begin as early as 10:00 p.m. each night and are expected to end by 6:00 a.m. each morning, with the final closure ending on the morning of Friday, June 26.
These closures are necessary for crews to complete paving and widening work to lengthen the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road.
Eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road detour (south of I-4):
From northbound Apopka-Vineland Road south of I-4, motorists will turn right onto eastbound Vineland Avenue and proceed east toward International Drive. From there, turn left onto International Drive, then turn left again onto Daryl Carter Parkway. From there, turn right onto the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.
FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
