A traffic pacing operation on westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) and Ivanhoe Boulevard is scheduled to occur between 1:30 – 2:30 a.m. on October 9. Once the westbound I-4 operation has concluded, an eastbound I-4 traffic pacing operation through the same limits will occur between 2:30 – 5:00 a.m.

During the operations, I-4 entrance ramps between these limits will be temporarily blocked by law enforcement officers to ensure no vehicles jump ahead of the traffic pacing operation. As the pace car passes each interchange, the corresponding entrance ramp onto I-4 will be reopened to allow motorists to enter and join the slow roll.

The traffic pacing operations will create a 30-minute window to remove an existing overhead truss located just south of Princeton Street and move equipment across the highway.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone
