The Florida Department of Transportation reports that a new westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) on-ramp from Gore Street and State Road (S.R.) 408 is scheduled to open the morning of November 13.

The westbound I-4 entrance ramps from Gore Street and both directions of S.R. 408 will close nightly for nearly one week beginning the evening of Sunday, November 12, to accommodate the ramp shift.

Motorists will enter at Gore Street from about the same location and will join with westbound I-4 traffic nearly half a mile beyond the original entrance point.

The new ramp is a milestone for the I-4 Ultimate project, as motorists will be driving on the first permanent ramp structure at the I-4/S.R. 408 interchange.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
