Ramp Closures, Detours for I-4 Construction This Week

The Florida Department of Transportation will implement nightly interstate exit ramp closures along I-4 beginning Thursday, March 24, from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Closures will occur at the following locations in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties:

  • I-4 Eastbound at Columbus Drive (Exit 3)
    Interstate Ramp Closure: Thursday, March 24 from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday, March 25
  • I-4 Westbound at North 50th Street (Exit 3)
    Interstate Ramp Closure: Thursday, March 24 from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday, March 25

During these closures, advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should anticipate delays during these detours.

These temporary closures are necessary for crews to test newly installed Wrong Way Vehicle Detection Systems.
