The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that beginning at 9:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, the westbound I-4 ramps (entrance and exit) at Branch Forbes Road (exit 17) will close until 5:00 a.m., Monday, July 1, weather permitting.

Westbound I-4 motorists needing to access Branch Forbes Road will have to exit the interstate using Exit 19, proceed south onto Thonotosassa Road (CR 582), turn west onto Baker Street (US 92), and proceed toward Branch Forbes Road.

Motorists needing to access westbound I-4 will have to enter the interstate using the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp, continue east toward Exit 19, turn north onto Thonotosassa Road, and re-enter the interstate using the westbound I-4 entrance ramp.

Electronic message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while driving through each work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary ramp closures are part of the I-4 repaving project from east of McIntosh Road to County Line Road in Hillsborough County.
