From spooky theme park events and kid-friendly trick-or-treat trails to terrorizing adults-only performances and Halloween-themed activities, Orlandoโ€™s haunting adventures have begun!

Orlando, the Halloween Vacation Capital, invites visitors to celebrate the spooky season with a record 93 days of frightful and family friendly events. Highlights include the nationโ€™s largest horror convention, extended theme park Halloween events, haunted botanical gardens, kid-friendly trick-or-treat trails, an all-new Halloween drone show, and adults-only horror-themed performing arts shows and even a Beetlejuice themed brunch.ย ย 

โ€œOrlando lives up to our reputation as the Halloween Vacation Capital by conjuring up more than three months of Halloween celebrations for all ages,โ€ said Casandra Matej, president and CEO, Visit Orlando. โ€œStarting as early as August, visitors can plan for a full season of events for everyone in the family, including the pop culture enthusiast, the haunted house thrill seeker and especially the sweet tooth.โ€

SPOOKY THEME PARK EVENTS 

  • Mickeyโ€™s Not-So-Scary Halloween Partyย atโ€ฏWalt Disney Worldโ€ฏResortย (select nights, now through Oct. 31) returns to Magic Kingdom Park with spooky entertainment, including the โ€œHocus Pocusโ€ Villain Spelltacular! at Cinderella Castle, Disneyโ€™s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, Disney Junior Jam for young partygoers,โ€ฏMickeyโ€™s Boo-to-You Halloweenโ€ฏParade, the Trick-or-Treat Trail and more.ย ย 
  • Universal Orlando Resortโ€™s Halloween Horror Nightsย atย Universal Studios Floridaย (select nights, Aug. 30 โ€“ Nov. 3) returns for 48 nights featuring 10 terrifying, movie-quality haunted housesโ€”including ones inspired by โ€œA Quiet Placeโ€ and โ€œInsidious,โ€โ€” five sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment and some of Universal Studiosโ€™ most exhilarating attractions.ย ย ย 
  • Atย SeaWorld Orlando, guests can experience three Halloween-themed events:
    • Little ones can dress up in their favorite costumes and meet colorful Halloween characters at theย SeaWorld Spooktacularย (weekends, Aug. 31 – Nov. 3), a family-friendly daytime event included with regular theme park admission. Guests will be able to enjoy an exclusive Sesame Street Halloween Parade, Scarecrow Halloween Dance Party and other themed activities.ย 
    • Howl-O-Screamย (select nights, Sept. 6 โ€“ Nov. 2) returns for 26 nights of fully immersive fear with new fright-inducing haunted houses and scare zones, thrilling nighttime coaster rides and experiences, interactive themed bars, electrifying live shows and more.ย 
    • Howl-O-Sprintย (Sept. 13) isย a new nighttime terror 5K beginning at midnight on Friday the 13th. Participants navigate a spine-chilling course with eerie landscapes, haunted roller coasters and relentless characters, culminating in a post-race celebration with treats and live entertainment until 2 a.m.ย 
  • LEGOLAND Florida Resortโ€™sย Brick or Treat Presents Monster Partyย (weekends, Sept. 14 โ€“ Oct. 27), a signature Halloween event included with theme park admission, will feature a trick-or-treat trail, live entertainment, exclusive LEGO characters and a cinematic experience. Guests will also be able to experience the brand-new Monster Skytacular drone aerial show, illuminating the sky over Lake Eloise exclusively on Brick-or-Treat nights.ย

  • Pirates Dinner Adventureย will offer โ€œVampirates: When the Blood Moon Risesโ€ (Sept. 19 โ€“ Oct. 31), a Halloween-themed dinner show suitable for all ages. It will feature aerial artistry, swordplay, death-defying stunts and dynamic duels.ย 
  • Screamin’ Green Hauntoweenย atย Crayola Experienceย (Sept. 23 โ€“ Oct. 31) includes a themed scavenger hunt, spook-tastic crafts, character photo ops, weekend trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating and slime making.ย 
  • Happy Frightsย atย Harry P. Leu Gardensย (select dates, Sept. 27โ€“ Oct. 31) features a trick-or-treat journey through twelve themed worlds with fun surprises, including a mysterious swamp, a Crazy Carnival, a Mad Hatter maze, hip-hop dancing aliens, giant deadly plants, live music at a Dia de Muertos celebration and more.ย 
  • A Petrified Forestย (select nights, Oct. 4 โ€“ Nov. 2) offers three horrifying trails with uniquely themed rooms and frightful scares around every turn, set in a genuinely spooky 2-acre forest. The annual Halloween event now features food concessions, local art vendors, laser tag, backstage tours and more.ย 
  • Spooky Empireย (Oct. 11-13), one of the largest horror conventions, returns for a weekend-long event. Halloween and rock nโ€™ roll fans of all ages can meet TV stars, buy collectibles from over 200 vendors, see new films and old favorites, join large Zombie Walks and get tattooed by top artists.ย ย 
  • Gatorlandโ€™sย Gators, Ghosts and Goblinsย annual daytime Halloween event (weekends, Oct. 12-27) features a haunted zone and exhibit, interactive characters, animal meet-and-greets, candy giveaways, a childrenโ€™s Halloween costume parade and more.ย ย 
  • Lake Nona Town Centerย will host theย Lake Nona Graveyard Smashย (Oct. 26). Mortals will be able to party with ghosts and ghouls, participate in trick-or-treat stations, experience live music and take a journey through inflatable courses. Free and open to the public.ย ย 
  • Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Artsย presentsย Stranger Sings! The Parody Musicalย (Oct. 31 โ€“ Nov. 3), a hilarious โ€œupside downโ€ take on the hit Netflix series – in all its campy 1980s glory featuring the whole Hawkins gang for a night of adventure, thrills, pubescent angst, cheap effects, dancing monsters and more.ย 


Thrilling Experiences and Adults-Only Entertainment 

  • Renaissance Theatre Companyย presentsย โ€œNosferatu”ย (select dates, Sept. 13 โ€“ Nov. 10), a 90-minute horror experience led by a cast of 32 vampires into hidden corners of the building. Later in the evening, with separate admission, guests can attend an exclusive Vampire Nightclub featuring dancers, music, specialty cocktails and drag performances.ย 
  • Haunting Nightsย atย Harry P. Leu Gardensย (Sept. 27 โ€“ Oct. 31) serves as the teenager/adult-focused counterpart to Happy Frights, with jump scares and themed characters. Guests can also enjoy hip-hop dancing aliens and festive foods for a more chill vibe.ย ย 
  • Cocktails & Screamsย in Downtown Orlando is a year-round Halloween-themed bar, featuring live music and an extensive list of creative cocktails. Guests can enjoy spooky experiences, like theย Beetlejuice Brunch,ย Quiet Place: Silent Disco Party,ย Just A Bunch of Hocus Pocus Drag Show,ย Dan Sperry Shock Illusionist Showย and more.   • Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Artsย will present theย Rocky Horror Picture Show 49th Anniversary Spectacular Tour with Barry Bostwickย (Oct. 4) at Steinmetz Hall. Guests can enjoy an original and unedited screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with a live shadow cast, audience participation, costume contest and more!.ย 
  • Scream n’ Stream Drive-Thru Halloween Experienceย (weekends from Oct. 6 – 29), a haunted Halloween drive-thru event, will return for its third year featuring seven horrifying zones complete with monsters, music, lighting and special effects.ย ย 
  • The Orlando Zombie/Halloween Crawlsย (Oct. 25, 26, 31) in downtown Orlando features killer-drink specials and a Halloween contest at over 10 bars and nightclubs, with all-day and all-night access tickets available.
